Yoga has been recommended for hundreds of years for its mental health benefits and today even therapists realize the incredible power behind practicing this relaxation art for emotional healing purposes.
o Offering up some time for volunteer work to take care of people who are homeless or perhaps taking care of senior citizens or visiting somebody who has nobody. These kinds of super generous acts of reaching out to others are extremely beneficial to all involved. Getting involved with others and helping them to improve their situation is good for the both of you.
o Learning and new skill or hobby. With any of these make sure that they are something that you love to do! In other words, you do not have to do them for monetary gain; you are just going to do them because you enjoy them so much. In this way, there is no pressure on you forcing you to do it for financial survival. This can be totally intoxicating and fulfilling!
o Add a variety of exercises that are continuous. Notice I said continuous. When engaging in exercise that is steady and lasting 30-45 minutes or longer the body has the ability to dump massive amounts of beta-endorphins into your bloodstream. This powerful hormonal chemical has the ability to elevate your mood and maintain it for hours!
