I sometimes laugh when I hear the words “anxiety self help”. After all if you have an anxiety problem the chances are that you are struggling with anxiety everyday and are forced to help yourself regardless of who you see or what drugs you are taking.
The truth is that you are alone with this problem, apart from the few hours a week that you are with your therapist or getting comfort from someone you know. The good news is though, that there is really effective anxiety self tips available, and when you use them, you can dramatically reduce your suffering.
I want to outline below some of the tips that are available to you and I want you to check them out and see how you can use them to reduce your levels of anxiety.
1) Stay off the internet
I don’t mean stay off the net completely here, but I do mean that you should stop frightening yourself further, if you find yourself constantly checking symptoms or concerns on the internet day in and day out. I would frequently be looking up health concerns and anxiety symptoms all day when I was suffering, and it always made things worse for me. The thing to remember here is that the internet is full of fear and misinformation, and if you’re in an anxious state it will just makes things worse for you.
2) Get outside
When I was suffering with anxiety, I always found that getting outside was a great tonic for me when things were getting overwhelming. Worry and anxiety can be very oppressive and smothering, and it can really help to get outside even if you feel awful. The very sensation of sunshine on your skin can have a calming effect when it comes to quelling chronic worry, panic or anxiety.
3) Develop more awareness
When you can develop more awareness into what is happening inside for you, you will naturally start to heal the anxiety that is within you. Ask yourself during the day what you are feeling or what you are getting from all this worry, anxious behaviour or compulsions.
Wait for the answer to come and be patient. You might be surprised at what you hear.

If you are suffering from panic attacks you will want to realize panic attack self-help treatments. You can treat this and you do not need to suffer with it the rest of your life. All you need to do is understand how to treat the panic itself. Once that is done the rest is just a piece of cake.
If you were to ask me my opinion I would tell you that panic attack self-help methods can do more for you than medication can. When I was going through this it was like the Doc wanted to do nothing but give me pills. In my opinion medication is a coping tool and does nothing to move you ahead in your treatment.
What I’ve experienced is doctors generally will first resort to medication before anything else when it comes to overcoming panic attacks and generalized anxiety. So, today I would like to give you a couple of panic attack self-help methods that will allow you to ultimately get over the terror and stress of the attacks.
First, you want to make sure that you get plenty of sleep. This is true with any self-help cure for anything especially panic attacks. Making sure you are sleeping right will not only help you with your panic and stress, but it’ll also help you with the rest of your life as well.
Next, make sure that you exercise. Working out and exercising is not only a great way to tackle your panic attack self-help treatments, but is also a great way to live a longer and healthier life. Exercise will help you get rid of all of the stress and anxiety that builds up and leads to attacks. What you’re trying to do is give yourself a release that will light your rid of the stress and anxiety so that you do not have the panic attacks.
Last, let’s talk about how you are eating and how this can affect everything. Eating a well-balanced and fit diet will not only help you with your panic attack self-help, but it will also help you with many other diseases associated with overeating and obesity. I’m not saying that this method is only for people that are obese or have problems with eating, I’m just saying that it will help you maintain a fit weight. Make sure to stay away from things such as caffeine, and foods that are high in sugar. These tend to add to anxiety levels and will not help you with your self-help when it comes to your panic attack.
You can rise above this devastating challenge. I call it a challenge because I do not think that it is a disease I think it is something that can be rise above, and I think panic attack self-help methods are a unbelievable and natural way to rise above the situation.

Most people don’t want to hear that it’s all in your mind, unfortunately, this is something that many doctors do agree with. Keep in mind that a majority of the time anxiety attacks are mental whether directly related to a chemical imbalance or something similar. Therefore, the greatest anxiety attack self help tip is to stay calm, stop worrying about things you cannot change and learn to control your emotions.
Many times panic attacks and anxiety attacks are due to a specific lifestyle or personality of yours. If you have a high-pressured job, you will sooner or later have built-up stress. If you are looking to help your self and stop your panic attacks/anxiety but have not been successful your subconscious mind may be the reason why. Now I’m not going to try to get all philosophical on you right now but it has been scientifically proven that the subconscious is extremely powerful when it comes to behavioral changes and influence.
An example of how this works is when you look at society and different places of the world. They say that if you look around at the 5 people you hang around with most you are really looking at yourself because the people you hang around with most are the people that you are subconsciously going to act like. You don’t make a conscious decision to do it but you do it anyway. This is the subconscious mind at work.
Anyway the point I am trying to make, is that the subconscious mind is extremely powerful and should not be underestimated, and there is a good chance that it is the cause of your panic attacks/anxiety. The subconscious mind doesn’t know what’s real and what’s fake; therefore, it is open to suggestions, whether they’re good or bad. When you are always consciously thinking about your panic attacks NOT happening, there’s a good chance that they are going to happen anyway.
Your subconscious mind does not care about that little word NOT, when the most dominant words in that thought was “panic attacks happening.” That’s the keyword that your subconscious is registering.
You may not believe it, but thoughts are THINGS. Like I said I don’t want to get too matrix on you, but be careful of the thoughts you put into your head because what you tend to focus on is what you get.
You might want to start focusing on something different throughout the day. In fact, take panic attack out of your vocabulary. Don’t go throughout the day saying,” please, don’t let me have another panic attack,” because the subconscious mind is hearing, “Please, let me have another panic attack,” and that’s exactly what you don’t want.
Most people tend to spend their time thinking about what they don’t want instead of thinking about what the DO want. That’s my suggestion to you; start thinking about what you DO want and not what you don’t want.
Thoughts are more powerful than people think.

If you are like me or if you are a student there is no doubt you do a ton of reading. Yet, did you know that most folks only retain about 20% of what they read. Let’s put this another way, most people forget over 80% of the things that they read. With poor statistics like that one has to ask why bother reading and why put information into text books and make students in college read it all?
Well, no matter what you do, if you are going to spend time reading, then you need to make sure you imprint the most important information to memory. Further, wouldn’t it be nice to learn how to read faster and still remember more? Sure it would but first you need to learn to be more systematic in how you read, how you scan and how you organize these thoughts you have while reading.
Memorization by association is far easier than memorization by rote memorization techniques, which is pretty much how our educational system has been set up in the past. Did you know that the average American reads about the same speed as humans did some 100-years ago? It’s true, and that is a scary thought considering how much more we need to read these days to get a degree, do a job or stay on top of things.
Interestingly enough the faster you read the more you have to concentrate on what you are doing, this increased concentration improves your ability to remember. It helps you fully engage in the activity. When reading non-fiction, it pays to stop and think after each chapter and consider how all that information relates with other things you know about. By doing this you commit this information to memorization by association.
Then once completed with the thinking, re-scan the chapters and repeat this process. Then scan the next chapter, think about it then read it. After reading it think about it, then repeat. Now re-read this article, as there will be a test on it tomorrow; just kidding.
